How odd is it that these past two weeks, I've had the best conversations with my manager than I've ever had before. Guess all the pressure is off now, so maybe it's just the way things were meant to be. In any case, Friday was the team goodbye lunch and my manager expressed how much she didn't like any of the places we had picked to do lunch before. But she liked the place she picked to eat at that day. Though the restaurant was downright unimpressive. Just some shi-shi looking place in Del Mar that had rather uninspiring, not very impressive typical American fare. I mean maybe I've been watching too much Top Chef. But a menu where one of the 4 salad choices is Seared Ahi...yawn! It's typical though...all show and pomp.
And I think i've been overdoing the one-hander a lil bit. My wrist hurts to all hell, so its a break from tennis this week. Meanwhile the recruiters are blowing up the phone now that I've actually written a resume, so perhaps I'll focus on that and preparing for interviews.
Oh and maybe i should figure out how to work the memory seats and audio settings in my car, cuz I still haven't read through it yet. The car came with 6 different manuals, all for different aspects of the car. One for the stereo, one for the operations, so on and so forth. One nice touch though, is they'll send little gifts in the mail every now and then. My roommate got a nice print of his Z4, and so far I've gotten a spoken word CD along with a DVD touting the car's sportiness. Gotta love the germans! =)
