Oh man, Tina Fey is hilarious as Palin. It's an uncanny resemblance, and that whole way of speaking. What doesn't seem to funny to me though is how madly in love America all of a sudden is with the real Palin. She steps out of nowhere to become possibly second in line to "leader of the free world" where the first in line would be a 72 year old multiple cancer sufferer. Has this country lost it's freakkin mind. VPILF is now the only requirement for a female president. Aye-ya! This really oughta just say it all. The SNL sketch succinctly points out the absurdity of it all. The woman clearly isn't ready for this big a "big time". It would be like me interviewing for a freakkin CTO position at this point, and folks loving me for it cuz the last black guy was soo terrible. I think what we're seeing with Palin is the Repub's wet dream of what they wish Hillary Clinton could be...a VPILF.
In other news, I now join the ranks of the jobless. I turned down an offer at another company in order to stay put at my company in what really sounded like an exciting position. Only to be cut off on my last day by a hiring freeze by that particular organization. What a load of crap. Least I'll get the severance payday. But really, I'd rather be employed. Agh! Frustration. So do I call up the other company I was struggling over, or take some time off and contemplate or look at other companies. Ugh! This rollercoaster ride is getting bumpy!
